Write up
Documentation of your work is a vital part of your assignment
write up.
Many students complete tasks very effectively and then fail
to write about it and, therefore, fail to achieve the higher
levels.
Below is a checklist of points that you must use in your write-up.
This will be placed on top of each of the tasks in your portfolio.
- You must produce a cover sheet for
each task which clearly shows the task number and description,
GCSE ICT 2003 and must include your name.
- In the Introduction for each task you must
state what the problem was that you had to solve. This must also
include reference
to
the
design
proposal you will create for Task
4.
- Your introduction to the
tasks must include any sub-tasks that were undertaken.
- Finally, you must also answer the following
questions:
- What program(s) you could to use to complete the task
? (Possible software)
- What program(s) you used to complete the task? Why did
you use those particular program? (Chosen
software)
- What did you actually do to complete the task? (Implementation)
- Was any testing necessary? If so, what? (Testing)
- How pleased were you with your completed solution? Could
it have been improved? (Evaluation)
You will need to return to this task document throughout
the completion of our coursework. Therefore you will need
to save it with an appropriate name for each task. It may
be a good idea to create a folder for each task and store
all the relevant files together.
