Timed Practical Task Brief

The Timed Practical Task is an internally assessed, externally moderated component of the ICAA GCSE.

The task is allowed to take up to 5 hours, and this should occur within a period of two weeks. You will need to complete the following tasks:

• You should produce an Action Plan for how you are going to approach the task (TPT2). This must be produced prior to the 5 hour practical sessions. Your Action Plan should state the problem to be solved and the audience to be targeted (TPT1).
• You should give detail about the hardware and software choices you will make, and the reasons you have chosen them (TPT3).
• You must write an evaluation of the work you have produced. This must include a discussion of whether what you have produced is suitable for the intended purpose (TPT4 & TPT5)
