Summary
In Year 8 pupils study ICT for one lesson a week . Pupils arrive at St
Louis with a range of ICT knowledge and skills. Therefore, time is spent
in year 8 making sure that pupils have the skills they will need to be
able to use ICT effectively within other curriculum subjects.
Pupils learn to use a word processor, a desktop publishing package,
presentation software, and a spreadsheet and database package. St Louis
has Microsoft Office 2003 installed on the computers. Throughout the year
pupils complete practical tasks using this software to demonstrate their
